Geomodeling Announces Appointment of New Executives

CALGARY, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Geomodeling Technology Corp., the leading innovator in geoscience software, is pleased to announce that Mr. Jeff Donnellan has joined the company as Vice President of Research & Development and Chief Information Officer, and John Sherman has joined as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. Both Mr. Donnellan and Mr. Sherman bring substantial experience in the upstream energy industry to Geomodeling.

Mr. Donnellan has over 25 years of experience in the energy and high technology industry sectors, including proven expertise in the positioning of both products and services to drive growth, and was an instrumental member of the management teams at both Halliburton Company and Landmark Graphics. Most recently, Mr. Donnellan was the Chief Technology Officer, Oil and Gas for EDS in Houston, Texas. Other previous positions include Vice President, Information Technology at Halliburton and Vice President, Information Technology and CIO at Landmark Graphics, as well as a wide array of both VP and Director level roles at each company. Jeff holds an Executive Degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Auburn University.

Mr. Sherman brings 19 years of experience in software development and marketing to Geomodeling. His previous positions include Executive Vice-President of Marketing for Landmark Graphics, Director of Global Tools and Architecture for Dell, Chief Technology Officer for Energy Solutions and Vice President of Business Development for Digital Earth. John is well-known in the upstream energy industry as the driving force behind the development and success of Landmark's Openworks platform, the long-time industry standard for data and application integration. John holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston, and Bachelors' Degrees in both Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Houston.
