Geomodeling Presents at 2005 EAGE Workshop on June 12
June 10, 2005On June 12, Geomodeling Technology Corp. will present at the 2005 EAGE 'Geomodeling Tools' Workshop in Madrid, Spain. In his presentation, "SBED Studio: an integrated workflow solution for multi-scale geomodelling", Geomodeling President and CEO Dr. Renjun Wen will demonstrate how multi-scale geological heterogeneity modeling with SBEDStudio can improve the prediction of hydrocarbon production profiles.
Results from a simulated study show that integrating SBEDStudio's reservoir heterogeneity models can impact recovery factor forecasting for channelized reservoirs by up to 50%, compared with conventional heterogeneity models that are more statistically driven. The major reason for the difference is due to the fact that SBEDStudio has modeled sub-seismic boundary surfaces, which can be important permeability barriers.
