Geomodeling Releases SBED 3.2 Software - Performance Maintenance Release

February 14, 2008

SBED 3.2 release focuses on increased stability for increased software performance

(Calgary, Alberta – February 14, 2008) Geomodeling Technology Corp., a leading innovator in geoscience software for the oil and gas industry, today announced that it has released SBED version 3.2 software – performance maintenance release. SBED is the only commercial software for modeling the small-scale geological heterogeneity that impacts large-scale reservoir performance.

SBED has two major bug fixes in this release as part of our ongoing commitment of creating more stable software for our user community.
The following bugs have been repaired in SBED 3.2:

  • #101: SBED no longer crashes when you initiate REV (previously called “Random Upscale Subgrid”). Before, when you right-clicked on the project or realization level to open this feature, the software would crash; this is now repaired.
  • #453: The Moving Windows Upscale depth values, presented in the pseudo-log tab, now correspond to the depth values in the geometry or petrophysical realization displayed in the 3 D view. Formerly, depth values in the pseudo-log tab would be edited if you opened and closed a 3 D view window that overlaid the pseudo-log tab.

    Availability
