Articles Spectral Decomposition adds value to visualization and interpretation workflows by revealing details normally overlooked in full bandwidth seismic displays. Windows-based visualization of high frequency seismic volumes optimizes reservoir potential in a channel play. The last decade or two has seen seismic interpretation become less qualitative and more quantitative. Numerous new techniques and methodologies have evolved to help move geophysicists into this more quantitative world - attribute analysis, 3D visualization, and AVO analysis to mention a few. Papers We propose to use the 3D voxel based unsupervised seismic facies classification to identify vertical facies variations within a turbidite reservoir. The technique was applied to a real data from a deep water field in the Campos basin, Brazil, and the results were compared with other classical facies analysis method, with similar results. |
