Introducing geological processes in reservoir models
Reservoir modelling and reservoir simulation are based on data collected at multiple scales with resolution ranging from sub-millimetre to tens of metres. New software using knowledge of the geological processes forming the reservoir rock now makes it possible to generate more accurate reservoir models, thereby improving prediction of both production profiles and reservoir volumes.

3D geologic modelling of channellized reservoirs: applications in seismic attribute facies classification
Renjun Wen, president and CEO, Geomodeling Technology, presents a new methodology for modelling stratigraphic heterogeneity in channellized reservoirs.

Seeing the Subsurface
Given a choice, oil and gas geoscientists would surely love an opportunity to peel back the layers of earth covering their buried reservoirs to steal a peek at their inner workings. But given that's not feasible, a Calgary company is providing the next best thing.
