Geomodeling is a leading software development firm serving the world-wide energy industry. Our products are used by major oil & gas companies, independent oil & gas companies, and service companies world-wide to reduce uncertainty, and more accurately understand the subsurface in order to discover, measure, and extract existing and future energy resources.

Geomodeling is poised for significant global growth and expansion. We are seeking a Vice President World-Wide Sales in our Houston office to help us to drive this growth. The person selected for this position will have the unique opportunity to be part of a leadership team building a market for the next generation of energy products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Overall coordination, functional management, and leadership of all direct and reseller channel sales activities
• Develop and coordinate the specific objectives of the Sales Plan with all of the functional departments of the company and specifically with Marketing, Finance, and Product Development
• Establish, under the Sales Plan, both market and target customer strategies for the company
• Set individual sales quotas for sales personnel
• Initially time will be spent in the field with both individual accounts and co-travelling with sales personnel

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
• Extensive domain knowledge; experience selling software in the world wide energy market
• Previously managed and grown both direct and reseller sales channels
• Previously developed and executed tactical sales plans; exceeding quotas and account objectives
• Minimum 10-15 years industry experience managing sales teams selling oil and gas software and services
• Previous management of a sales team in excess of 10 direct sales representatives

We are looking for someone who is highly organized, has excellent time management skills, is a demonstrated leader among employees, and has strong negotiation and communication skills. You must have demonstrated ability to close deals and move a company/strategy forward to a successful outcome.

We offer a highly attractive base salary, employee benefit package; bonus/commission based on performance and a significant equity position.
