Software Development Manager

Geomodeling Technology Corp., the leading innovator in geoscience software for the oil and gas industry, is looking for talented people to join its growing company.
Your strong management, communication skills and in-depth knowledge of various computer languages provides you with the ability to plan, schedule and assign programming projects, analyze proposed software applications, and provide technical assistance to programmers.
Accountabilities:
• Manage the software development process including requirements, design, analysis, and coding
• Develop standards and procedures for programming staff
• Participate in all stages of software development, including requirements capture, writing, testing and debugging programs
• Prepare computer block diagrams and machine logic flowcharts for detailed coding of problems and provide the documentation of programming work
• Prepare detailed analyses, plans, diagrams and verification procedures for existing and proposed computer software applications
• Evaluate and modify existing applications and system programs to take into account changes in system requirements, software releases, or equipment configuration
• Manage a team of software developers, providing assistance and training where necessary
Qualifications:
• A degree with major course work in computer science, or a related field is preferred
• At least 5 years experience in computer programming
• Experience in managing and training others
You must demonstrate creativity, take initiative, embrace a positive attitude and enjoy working effectively in a team. You are a self starter who is familiar with or adapts well to an entrepreneurial setting.
