Product Manager Seismic Software

Geomodeling is a leading software development firm serving the world-wide energy industry. Our products are used by major oil & gas companies, independent oil & gas companies, and service companies world-wide to interpret subsurface data and develop detailed earth models.
Geomodeling is seeking a Product Manager to help us to drive our Geophysical software product line growth. The person selected for this position will have the unique opportunity to be part of a team building the next generation of seismic interpretation and oil-finding technology.
Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the geophysical product strategy and roadmap for Geomodeling
- Be the product evangelist for our seismic interpretation products including product presentations and demonstration for small and large groups
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
- Run beta and pilot programs
- Maintain Strategic Product Plans including market segmentation, competitive analysis, key industry trends, etc.
- Build initial sales presentations and train the sales channel
- Own the Business case for all seismic products
- Work closely with customers to ensure our products meet their needs
- Manage the overall product release cycle for seismic interpretation products
Qualifications:
- A degree in Geophysics or a degree in Geology with practical experience in Geophysics
- 5-10 years experience interpreting 3D seismic surveys and making successful well recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including solid experience in formal and informal group presentations
- Ability to work as part of a technical team and influence others through cooperative dialog
- Interest and ability in being a software product evangelist
Desired Qualifications:
- 2-5 years experience as a software Product Manager
- Experience with Geomodeling’s seismic interpretation products
