Junior and Senior Geologists

Geomodeling Technology Corp., the leading innovator in geoscience software for the oil and gas industry, is looking for talented people to join its growing team. We have offices in Calgary, Canada; Houston, Texas; Stavanger, Norway; and Beijing, China. We currently have openings in our Calgary office for Junior and Senior Geologists/Geomodelers.

Geomodeling is recruiting for seasoned, dynamic, service-oriented geologists with extensive knowledge of geoscience. Your knowledge, experience, and project work is extensive. Our services are global in scope, offering an opportunity to participate in significant discoveries around the world.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute project service work
• Provide technical sales support for new client development and existing client support in the
  reservoir modeling software solutions arena
• Mentor user, research, and development groups
• Teach training courses
• Prepare technical presentations for industry conferences, clients, and technical organizations

Qualifications:

• Experience in reservoir characterization studies
• Seasoned geologist with extensive knowledge of reservoir modeling applications
• Skilled at learning new software and techniques
• Capable of working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate creativity, take initiative, embrace a positive attitude, and enjoy working effectively in a team
• Background in geomodeling, geostatistics, sedimentology, and petrophysics is an asset

You are a self starter who is familiar with or adapts well to an entrepreneurial setting. You have a genuine interest and curiosity in high technology and its use to define and maximize reservoir potential. Consulting project experience and professional association membership would be an asset
