Mark Klingbeil

President, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer

Mark Klingbeil has been overseeing the financial affairs of Geomodeling's international offices since June 2005. He has over 20 years of extensive financial management and business administration experience with a wide variety of growing businesses. His work experience includes Controller, CFO, and GM roles in domestic and international geoscience software and services businesses. Prior to joining Geomodeling Technology Corp., he provided services as an independent business consultant to clients in the oil and gas exploration, manufacturing and advanced technology industries.

Mark holds a Masters degree in Business Administration, and received his CGA (Certified General Accountant) designation in 1983.

Renjun Wen

Founder, Chairman and Chief Technology Architect

In November 1996, Renjun Wen created Geomodeling Technology Corp. He is the original designer and programmer of SBED™ and SBEDStudio™ modeling software, and VisualVoxAt™ seismic interpretation software. He brings over 20 years of experience to the corporation along with his passion for developing practical software solutions for fellow geoscientists.

Dr. Wen holds a PhD in Petroleum Geology from Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and a BSC from Jianhan Petroleum Institute (Yanzhe University) in China. He has published papers in the fields of reservoir modeling, geostatistical application in image processing, stochastic fault modeling and seismic attribute analysis, and has collaborated with major oil companies to develop innovative modeling software.  


John Sherman

Vice President Marketing and Product Development

John Sherman brings 19 years of experience in software development and marketing to Geomodeling. His previous positions include Executive Vice-President of Marketing for Landmark Graphics, Director of Global Tools and Architecture for Dell, Chief Technology Officer for Energy Solutions and Vice President of Business Development for Digital Earth. John is well-known in the upstream energy industry as the driving force behind the development and success of Landmark's Openworks platform, the long-time industry standard for data and application integration.

John holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston, and Bachelors' Degrees in both Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Houston.

Kevin Donihoo

Vice President of Sales and Services

Kevin Donihoo has 30 years of experience in the energy and high technology industry sectors, with a demonstrated track record of identifying opportunities, encouraging growth, and driving sales.  His experience spans both the business and technical domains of upstream energy, including software product development, marketing and sales, and exploration geology and geophysics.  Prior to joining Geomodeling he was Senior Vice President of Marketing, Products and Business Development for GX Technology in Houston, Texas.  Past positions include President of Integrated Exploration Systems GmbH, Director of Product Management for Landmark Graphics and Asia Pacific Marketing Manager for Landmark Graphics.  Kevin began his career as an explorationist, discovering new oil and gas fields in challenging stratigraphic plays for Arco, Amerada Hess and Blackstone Oil.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of California, Davis.

 

Tom Paquette

Controller

Tom Paquette has been with Geomodeling since February 2009. He has over 30 years of extensive financial management and business administration experience. His work experience includes Controller, CFO, and VP Finance roles in domestic and international oilfield service and transportation companies. Tom received his CMA (Certified management Accountant) designation in 1972.
